Who Is Holley Morrison?
Holley is a mix media artist her main mediums of choice are watercolor, digital art, and ceramics. Holley makes art that surrounds feelings of surreal familiarity and nostalgia. She achieves these emotions through looking through her own experiences, and how she uses her imagination for the best.
More About Holley Morrison
Holley is from Cowen, WV and has a bachelors of Studio Art from Fairmont State University. Holley and her family would often explore the Appalachian forest and explore small areas. Whenever exploring these areas Holley found her imagination overflowing with creative ideas. What if fairies used to live here or what if there is a troll under the bridge? These were things Holley would think to herself on her and her families journies.
Holley’s Goals
Some of Holley's goals consist of creating interesting new work inspired by child-like wonder, creating new items for vendors, applying for exhibitions, and creating zines with Holley's original characters!

Character design and zines
One of Holley's projects is creating new creative characters that are likeable and educational. Holley wants to create characters and stories that inspire people to try new things and find comfort. The panel to the left is a recent zine that shows that "Skating with Charlie". Charlie is a vibrant skater gal that wants to show her friends the wonders of skating. Charlie oozes with optimism and inspires her friends to try something new. Each character has thier own unique design and quirk. They all have something to learn from each other which makes every zine special and different.

“What is Home?” Was a gallery show where Holley showcased her feelings of home. April 15th 2022 Holley and her family’s house burnt down and it left left her wondering what home could even be? Is it just a physical house or is it your friends and family? Or perhaps it’s just a feeling of peace? Holley shows what her definition of home is in the show by showing it in surreal and funky ways. It also shows her healing process of it all.

Holley has created a children's book "What is home?". This book was made to show people that home is more than a physical house. Home can be your friends, family, a hobby, animals, etc. In this book, you follow Holley in their journey of what home is?
